Trece Martires City, Cavite – January 31, 2025 — Demonstrating exceptional spelling skills and academic determination, students from Sisters of Mary School–Adlas, Inc. proudly represented their school at the i-Spell Spelling Bee 2025, organized by the Cavite Province Association of Private Schools (CPAPS). The highly anticipated event was held at New Generation International School Inc., bringing together talented young spellers from various private schools across the province.
With over 60 participants in each grade-level category, the competition highlighted not only the students’ linguistic abilities but also their poise and confidence under pressure. It served as a meaningful platform for students to test their knowledge, develop resilience, and embody the spirit of academic excellence.
Sisters of Mary School–Adlas, Inc. delivered an impressive performance across multiple grade levels. In Grade 8, John Stephen Pagente of 8A, coached by Ms. Princess Sevare, secured 4th place. From Grade 9, Jian Cyreel Pacheco of 9B earned 3rd place under the guidance of Ms. Aubrey Miles Yanela and Ms. Lady Anne Logdat, while Carl Juzpher Obsum of 9A claimed 5th place. In the Grade 10 category, Mark Julius Fernandez of 10A, coached by Mr. Joseph Grimaldo and Mr. John Neil Capili, achieved 4th place, followed by Bryle Justine Borrero of 10C in 5th place, and Prince Andrei Calimag of 10A in 6th place.
School coaches and mentors commended the students for their diligence and sportsmanship, noting that their achievements reflect their hard work and commitment to learning. “We are incredibly proud of our students’ accomplishments. Competitions like this not only enhance their vocabulary and spelling skills but also build their confidence and character,” said Mr. Joseph Grimaldo, one of the coaches.
