Miriam Pilay, a student from the Sisters of Mary of Banneux Inc., is representing Philippines, together with four Filipino students, at the ASEAN Children Workshop titled “Children Who Shape Tomorrow: ASEAN Community Vision 2045.” The workshop runs from September 14 to 19, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The ASEAN Community Vision 2045 sets a bold roadmap for the future of Southeast Asia, focusing on integration, peace, and sustainable development. The event gathers young voices from across the region to share their ideas, creativity, and recommendations to help advance ASEAN’s vision at both national and regional levels.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in team-based discussions on real-world challenges such as sustainability, technology, and cultural exchange.
Miriam’s participation underscores the dedication of the Sisters of Mary of Banneux Inc. to nurture young leaders who are prepared to contribute to the region’s goals of education, innovation, social integration, and sustainable development.
