The Sisters of Mary Schools continue to flourish, driven by their mission to uplift the lives of the poorest of the poor, with the invaluable support of their co-missionaries: the dedicated teachers. 

In celebration of Teachers’ Month, the SMS campuses across the country held their own celebrations, October 5, 2024, to honor Aloysian Educators.

The World Teachers’ Day at the Sisters of Mary Schools began with a solemn Mass held at the Fully Alive Retreat House Chapel. The Mass was a tribute to the educators’ unwavering dedication in nurturing their students.

The festivities continued in the gymnasium, where the teachers were treated with a series of heartfelt performances prepared by their students. The students’ expressions of gratitude brought both laughter and tears to the teachers, who felt deeply appreciated for their hard work and commitment.

The celebration was followed by a special awards ceremony recognizing the exceptional contributions of outstanding teachers. Among the awards given were the Milestone Service Award for long-standing dedication, the Most Innovative Educator award for creativity in teaching, and several other recognitions highlighting excellence in various fields.

Fostering camaraderie and collaboration, faculty members also participated in a series of team-building games in the latter part of the day. 

The celebration was a heartfelt acknowledgment of the teachers’ invaluable contributions to the Sisters of Mary Schools. It was a meaningful reminder of the profound impact of educators in fostering a brighter future of their students.
