The Sisters of Mary charity works in Korea started in 1964 after the Korean war. Initially focused on aiding orphans and street children, the congregation quickly expanded its efforts to support the most impoverished communities. Key initiatives include the Boystown and Girlstown schools, which offer free education, vocational training, and boarding to children from low-income families. Additionally, the Sisters of Mary operate medical facilities that provide free healthcare services to all poor individuals of different ages within the local communities. Currently, the Sisters of Mary in Korea offer livelihood training programs to their beneficiaries.
